Honey bees produce honey and live in highly social groups called colonies. Inside a colony live three different types of bees: one queen bee, drones, and thousands of workers bees. A colony can host anywhere between 20,000- 60,000 bees. Honeybees are scientifically known as Apis Mellifera.
As a family and farm we are committed to serving our community through public out reach and educational services. Honeybees are vital to our food supply and it is important that the public and youth understand their significance. If you are interested in a school presentation or speaker for a special event, please give Henry’s Bullfrog Bees a call.
